Rachel graduated from Curtin University (Perth, Western Australia) with a BA (Hons) in Design. A penchant for travel sent her to Africa for 18 months where she learned, amongst other things, to scuba dive. Retuning to her hometown of Perth, Rachel spent the next five years working in marketing and publications (simultaneously attaining a graduate degree in Marketing) before moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Finding herself on the Equator (minus the briefcase) the warm waters beckoned! Five years spent in the warm seas around Malaysia, followed by two years in the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean, another year in Thailand, and claimed by Blue Eye FX Productions in Egypt, Rachel has spent more than 1000 hours filming fish and is one of our most experienced camera operators.
Known as ‘von Trapp’, while she can’t sing and doesn’t have seven children, if the ‘hills are alive’ Rachel is bound to be amongst it!
